Default My First Dyno

I have never had a bike dyno'ed before. Republic HD in Sugar Land, TX was doing free dyno runs today... I had a SE255 put in last year, and got a Power Vision from Fuel Moto (and a map from them).... Since then I've changed pipes and air cleaner, but always just ran auto-tunes.

Bike has always ran well, but I never knew what kind of TQ or HP I was putting out.... When I saw the free dyno, I ran down there :-)

I don't think my bike did too bad. Sometimes I want more, but that's just life I guess.... Maybe when I pay it off, I'll put in a 124" or a 131" or whatever is out then

Good looking graphs. It would be interesting to have it dyno tuned to see if you make any worthwhile gains.

Thanks. My gut tells me starting with Jamie's map, then running a couple auto tunes, that she's dialed in pretty good.

What I really wanted was a baseline of where I'm at - that way when I look at FM dynos and stuff, I'll know where I am, and see if it's worth the $$$ - maybe one day when its paid off, I'll find a S&S 124 for a good deal.

Does that torque not peak a little "late" for running the 255's?
They typically run a little more linear and the peak appears around 1 k sooner, or is that just the way the operator runs the dyno ?

I'm getting by with an S&S 107" at present, but a 124? That would be just great one day. They now do it with slightly lower CR and the 585 cam, which gives good results in a loaded dresser.

I really don't know. Looks like for me, the peak runs 3500-4000.... I'll go look through the bagger dynos, see where other's are peaking.
