Why does the graph not begin at the idle acceleration point? What would be the HP range be, say at 1200 rpm? Appears to me idling along in 1st gear would be about 5 HP but I would assume the torque much higher at around 55 or so. Would the last carburetor bikes of the past have a smother line in the hp/torque line?

Jamie, you said working on Power Vision functionality. Exactly what does that mean? it works it don't work it partially works it will work in the future? Bottom line is I am trying to figure out is keep my power vision and send it in. I am going to trade my 10 street glide in on a 14 one reason I have not done it already is I am learning what I can keep of the 10.

So far
intake =NO
Exhaust = yes
Power vision = maybe? and will need new cable.
Seats = ?
Windshields = NO

See this for PowerVision compatibility, it may also apply since the new bikes are CANbus & HDLan: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/11685852-post156.html

An inertia dyno measures power based on rate of acceleration. Runs are done in either 5th or 6th gear as we start the run at approx 2000 RPM, any lower and it is simply lugging the motor excessively and it will affect the initial part of the run. Essentially, starting a dyno run at 1200 RPM would be like slowing to 20 MPH in 6th gear on the road and rolling info full throttle. As far as a dyno run on a carb bike vs EFI you will find while the shape of the graph is very similar they were not generally as smooth as EFI has superior fuel control over a carb.

2014 models will use the Power Vision PV-2, if you have a PV-1 you will simply need a new cable. We are currently working on support for the 14 bikes, it will likely be a few weeks before an update is ready.

Yeah, I guess Jamie doesn't know that black bikes make more TQ/HP.

At this point all testing has been with the stock EFI. This week we will write some maps for the Fuel Moto Micro Tuner and will then move on to Power Vision calibrations.
