Happy with my 08. Not really concearned what the 2014's look like. Everyone has different tastes. Those who like them will buy them and those who don't won't

 

Doesn't make any sense to me. They managed a new batwing fairing without skipping a year of production...What makes the Shark nose any different?

 

My guess is that the 2015 Road Glide is going to come only as an Ultra with water-cooling. Since the radiators require "fixed" lowers and the fairing is also fixed, I predict the Road Glide will have a unified top-to-bottom fairing, like a Goldwing.

 

I think the new stuff is pissa. We still got pushrods.

OMG the whole product management team of the FB should be fired for that. Will they ever sell one? ...blind guys don't usually buy bikes, do they?

 

Too many new things to offer a new looking Road Glide in 2014. I believe they will give the Road Glide it's own stage when the dust settles on the 2014 changes. Maybe in 2016, the RG will be back with all the 2014 changes plus a newly designed inner faring to accommodate that new touch screen radio/gps device. This is just my take on the marketing aspect. You know the old saying...."To keep the elephant interested, don't feed him all the peanuts at once".

 

Good point about the touchscreen. Tough to reach on that fairing.

 

Agreed...but even before all the upgrades, by the time this bike is too old to be driven, I will be too old to be driving it and this is likely my last one.

 

While my money is on the RG coming back as a H20 cooled engine, Im imagining a V-Rod motor with 150+ hp so I dont have to keep dumping $$$ to make the 103 go faster well maybe just a turbo, maybe they will incorporate the radiators along side the headlights on the sides of the fairing (hidden of course in a black striping in the paint) so it will keep its style, and with a lot of touch gadgets.
I may even consider trading the 07 in for that.
