Hi need a brake light to pass canadian import and i assume this break light since its made by harley is D.O.T approved?The dealer here wants over 1500 to put a square tail light on he said the fender needs to be changed to a canadian fender because its indented for the brake light but this one would be fine as long as it DOT.thx

 

check that it is CDN DOT compliant, not US DOT

different regs.

it is called "auxillary" as it is compliant in addition to, not a replacement for a US DOT compliant brake light


you could probably get a $20 trailer light kit at cdn tire and hang it on the bike to pass inspection...

I would suggest that an indy shop would be more interested in winning you over. dealers, and esp the CDN dealer network see owner imports as taking away their $20K payday.

post your area, maybe someone nearby knows of a shop.
I spoke with the Guys at Kreator in Kelowna some years ago they seemed to be up on self-imports ( and I think they have an affiliate shop in TO)
