Recommendations for bike lifts?

J&S Jacks sound great, but $400....really?

All plain old steel and hydraulics.

Anyone have any info to share?

Thanks!

I have this hi-lift jack and I really like it,sure was a pain cleaning my wide whitewalls before, wish I had got it sooner.I always throw a strap over the bike to be on the safe side.

I took a survey on here a while ago re Jack mishaps. There was no relationship to jack type. There was a tight relationship to user error. Most mishaps were from not setting the locking mechanism.

I have the yellow HF. Hated going imported, but $70 and I've never heard of the things failing in a way that hurt anyone or anything.

here is mine on the H.F> high lift also have the H.F. lift table, had the table for about 8 years and the high lift for about 3, used them both for cleaning and repair and mods, never had any problems with them, left the bike on the lift for a week when I changed cams and it never dropped a inch

i use the cheap one from harbor freight..70 bucs or so..have been using it for years the only drawback is when you let the bike down you have to push the release all the way down quick like..the first position is the fast and the second is the slow,, thats backwards but after i got used to it everything works great,,,

Looks like he edited his post 6 mins after I posted mine. Either way I did not try to edit the post at all, but I could have F'd up

I think he added that after, not that that's a problem.
