Power Commander Maps
Hey guys I have had little luck with the standard maps posted on the power commnder website. My configuration may be common and thought I'd ask if anyone has already conquered the decel pop issues that has my configuration, and is willing to share their map.
Next step is to take in to have a custom map.

RE: Power Commander Maps
For what it is worth..................I asked Jamie the same thing about decel popping. He suggested changing the following:
In the 0 throttle range column from 1750rpm to 5000rpm set at 15
Mine were all 0`s at the 0 throttle range. The popping is caused by lean condition and this richens it up a bit.
I have not tried it yet as the weather here is to COLD!

Jamie had me change mine to 10. Helped a little but need to have it tuned. I think my next step is to get a SERT and ditch the PCIII.
Peace,

RE: Power Commander Maps
I had the same problem with the canned maps from the disc I got with my PCIII. I finally just bit the bullet and put the bike on a Dyno Tuner at a stealership here in KC. The guy did a pretty good job for about $150.00. He increased my hp by a factor of 9 and the torque went up quite a bit as well (I don't have the graph in front of me so I can't remember by how much). All that as well as evening the fuel mixture very well, and I still get decel pop...although it's not nearly as noticeable as it was before. My advice: find a Dyno and operator that you like and spend the cash. It's worth it.

Taterdog...
I just happened to call Blue Springs Harley and ask about it. I honestly thought that I would have spent less going to the Kawasaki dealer off of Santa Fe (and I am not sure that it is not cheaper) but when he quoted the price, I said I'd be right down. It took him about 45 minutes to do it and he went through, maybe, seven runs to get it right. I was happy with it. I don't remember the guy's name, but he was the service manager.
