Waltz4 Outstanding idea. I knew I could get some good feedback from this group. Posted a few questions here and there and have not been let down yet.

Don't know exactly what is missing on the lock but I had the same thing happen to me and all needed was the little cam do dad inside the latch and a spring. The cost was not much, maybe $ 10.00 from Harley.

The parts needed for the repair are less than $5.00 total

Like said just go to the dealer and buy the parts, mine did the samething and just replaced the lost parts.
