Cheap upgrade for low beam riding?

Silverstars burn out too quick. Anything with higher voltage than stock has a tendency to melt the connectors. Get a couple of HID's on ebay for $32 and use one of them. On a RK you can put the ballast under the fork tins. I run a single beam (no high beam) 35W h4 6000K on two of my bikes and they work very well, plus I'm not paying $700 for a headlight. Get the slim ballast version. It is plug and play although depending on how and where you mount the ballast you might need to change a few things. I don't recommend putting the ballast in the headlight as I did that on my softail and the ballast died from all the vibration.

HID all the way. Have them in all my cars (stock). They were the modern upgrade in the auto industry and they last forever and put out incredible light. Cheap these days too.
I like that they start up "dimmish" and slowly build until bam! Bright-*** light engaged!
Kinda like, ready, start, run....and...we....now...have.... TURBO MODE! Tada!!!
I just think it looks cool.
