Reinstall old parts for warranty repair?
I previously posted how my bike had an intermittent hesitatation/missfire problem. The problem exists with or without the PC5 installed.
Dont know what else to do except take it in.
So if I was to put the stock parts back on because of the ESP warranty, can the dealer know if a tuner was on it?

I work for a major tractor manufacturer. Im a traveling service specialist. And like previous post. They would have to prove that the tuner was the cause. I would also keep in mind, you don't want to give them any hint or reason to know the tuner was ever on it because it will be the first thing they blame.
I have 3 harleys and don't do many mods to them till out of warranty for this reason. What mods I have done, have been performed by the dealer so it stays in warranty.
Good luck with your repair...... and if all else fails. ....... throw a fit. I know it sounds childish but it does work. No manufacturer wants "a bad word of mouth" going around. There are was of getting around warranty if they refuse to help. Goodwill being one. Sales department being another. All dealerships put money aside from each sale into a side account just for this reason. What they don't spend from it is gravy for them at the end off the year.

Yes I agree. I don't know what other parts you are talking about, maybe a high flow air cleaner and pipes? I wouldn't worry about that. Just take off the PC5. Then they will actually have to do some trouble shooting and fix your bike for you. Are you still running the stock header with the O2's hooked up? They will notice that the O2 situation and a new header for sure.

No way I would take that jackpot header off. If it's convenient, you might install the stock air cleaner. That way, they can't say the miss is because you added all this stuff and you need a tune. If you lose the air cleaner and the PC5, you should be good to go.
They are going to ask you if it missed before you changed out that header. So be prepared for that question.
