Document storage option

Document storage option
I was looking for a convenient place to store a few paper documents like insurance cards and registration. Came up with this inexpensive but effective location. All I used was a plastic resealable bag and existing screws.
Unscrew the saddlebag lid support. Poke two holes in bags flap making sure you do not puncture the sealed portion of the bag. Place the bag on the underside of the support and thread the screws through the support and bag flaps.
Reattach support back to saddlebag with screws. Keeps the bag and docs out of the weather and keeps it readily available. You are still able to peel open the bag and remove the docs when needed. On the far left of the picture, under the support, you can see just the edge of the bag.

That is where I normally keep it when I have the tour pak attached. This is more for when I am riding without it. I chose underneath as on top would cause it to dangle down into the saddlebag. When the bag is full I'd be stuffing it down in. I haven't had to produce documents for a long time. This way they are there if I ever needed but not in the way.
I also liked the inside the helmet liner that was mentioned but here in Florida I sweat like crazy and sometimes use different helmets but I'll keep that option in mind.
