Default Is it glued on?

Hi all,
On the transmission cover there is a plate that says "six speed".
I want to powder-coat this part (not the whole cover) and my question is, is this plate glued on or double side taped as it feels "movable"

Hope this makes sense.
Thanks all.

It's double sided tape, heat it up with a heat gun and it will come right off. Took me about five minutes and then a little "Goof Off" to clean up the residue and you have a nice clean chrome surface.

The Forum in action... I had been trying to figure out if I was going to need to find a smooth cover to replace mine, as I didn't want the "6-speed" deal. I read this an hour ago, went out, heated it up, and used "Goo Gone". I now have a beautiful, smooth chrome trans cover! $"0"... The price is so right... This forum is always a great resource.
