Default Harley Fork Mounted Wind Deflectors for FLHX

I have been wanting to put lower fork wind deflectors on my Street Glide, but not happy with what was out there in the marketplace. Harley made them for the Road King, but not for the SG. I was in the dealer today, and was looking on the accessory wall, and a set of deflectors caught my eye. They looked to be different than the RK model. I noticed the picture with the bullet turn signals and ripped the box off the wall to read the label. And to my excitement, the label included FLHX on it. YES!!! Harley listened to us bitch, and factory wind deflectors are now available for the Batwing FL's. the part # is 57400146.

Went I got home, I immediately went out and installed them. Then out for a test ride. WOW. What a difference. No more buffeting like before. With my 7" LRS Recurve Shield, I no longer fight the wind. I do get a little more wind at the bottom of my legs. But it's not a problem. One of,the better $90 Harley parts I have invested in.

Good to know. I've got a set from an ultra classic I'm going to modify first then powdercoat black. If I'm not satisfied with them I'll get these. The set I have now were given to me so I've got to try to use them if I can = tightwad lol

Will these fit with lowers? I've been told that they may hit the lowers but the ones I was looking at were flat not concave'd like the ones in the picture.

So, the deflectors don't hit the tank or engine guard on full left/right lock?

You no longer get head buffeting with these deflectors?

I had these on a couple years ago that I bought from an ebay seller.
I think they look better than the moco ones.
More flush.
Took em' off though for Hogg Chopp's lowers.

They don't hit the crash bar or the tank. I thought the curve was pretty radical. But I find the front end to be more stable with them.

The head buffeting is way reduced.

I'm not sure if they would hit the lowers. But if you have lowers, I would think you wouldn't need them.

They don't look streamlined, but I don't care. The ride at 70mph is a lot better. It will make long rides much easier.

This guy makes them that fit with lowers. Lots of good reviews on them here. Haven't tried them myself. Yet.
