I just installed a set on my RKC, there is a noticeable difference with them on. Very satisfied. I also just ordered a set of Desert Dawgs soft lowers. I think the combination will make riding in the cool Fall temps more comfortable.
You still get the buffetting even with the lowers on if left stock. I have the wind deflectors offered at the link above. had them on my 2010 ultra classic and now my 2013 ultra classic limited. have similar item on my 1600/102 Yamaha Road Star. i wouldnt be without them any more.
They don't look bad, but they don't look aerodynamic being concave to the wind.
But come on guys, you're on a bike @70mph, and you don't expect it to be windy?
Get a convertible cage!
Well I put them on my bike today. I know others have said they don't like the look, but I actually think they look good. Took a short ride, got up to about 75 and the buffeting is definitely reduced, but not gone. The improvement however makes them worth keeping on. I'll experiment more in the coming days...

I like the way they look backwards better but they don't clear the engine guard.
I have an FLHTK with lowers and I installed the regular HD chrome fork lowers. Have had it this way for 2 yrs and 25,000 miles. If I turn bars hard all the way they touch the lowers so I don't do that. No marks on my lowers and the buffeting is really reduced. I use a 6.5 inch Clearview windshield w/recurve so I can easily see over the top.
