Default Detachable Tour-Pak

Does the Detachable Tour-Pak give more passenger room over the stock set-up.
I've read that it has multiple mounting positions but wanted to confirm it gives more room for my wife.

you can move your tour pack back with out getting the detachable kit if that is all you want , with the kit I am sure it just depends on how you mount the tour pack put would guess it would be the same either way

I'm planing on getting the Detachable Tour-Pak in the next week or so. I was just curious if it moved it back farther than the stock setup.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone with the Detachable Tour-Pak could chime in.

I have the HD detatchable kit on my 05 EGC, it does NOT move the tour pak back, or forward either. There are relocation kits out there, but they don't work with the detatch kit as far as I know.

I have the detachable on my 12 EG Classic, and there are 2 sets of mounting points which are about 1 1/2" apart. I had not spent enough time on it 2 up to notice a big difference between when it was permanently mounted versus quick attachable.
I do have it mounted in the furthest back holes for I could notice a space difference for the pair of us riding. She didn't notice a difference, but I sure did. I was crowding the tank when mounted in the fist set of holes with both of us on, so it remains in the 2nd set of holes.

I go a buck seventy five @ 5'10", and she about a buck and 1/2 @ 5' 6" if that helps.

As noted, there are two sets of mounting holes just like the standard mount.
The detachable doesn't move the TP back much if any.
