Default standard wheels but powdercoated

Hi All,
Has anyone tried powder coating the standard Ultra classic wheels in one colour ?
Mine are a nightmare to clean so was thinking of powder coating them all black.
Anyone got any photos of theirs ?

Thanks all.

Mine are all black, however you should take time out to view some of those Joe has done. Plain black will no longer be quite good enough!!!!

Thanks for that,
I have checked all the pics on that website but no pics of the latest (2009-2012) touring wheels in black.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks again.

Joe posts stacks of Harley pics in the Tech Powdercoat forum here on HDF, so pop in there. Get a long drink first!

The guy who I bought my bike from powder coated the rims black. If I can get my pic hosting to work I'll put it up. I have a 2009.

Yeah, starting with a "spoke" next to your air valve, cut it out and grind/file/ sand the ends smooth. Do this every 7th spoke for a total of 4 spokes removed. Younow have a wheel that can be aired up easily and is custom!!!
