Default Saddlebag Guards and Supports

I would like to change the saddlebag guard because it bothers the wife. I am considering the Comfort Profile kit but after reading the catalog it says I may need this, that, and the other. Will the Comfort Profile bolt right up to what I have? I am not worried about losing the chrome trim.

My other thought is to eliminate it all and just add the saddlebag support eliminator. Again, would this just bolt up with what I have?

I have always had the same problem with my short statured (5'00") wife. I'm thinking I'm just going to get the kit that raises the passenger floorboards to solve the problem. You lose a little protection when they are eliminated, though it does make for a "clean" look.

My sig picture hasn't been updated to show them, but here is a picture of them installed on my Limited. Wife loves them, in conjunction with the reduced reach footboard mounts.

My wife is 5' 1" and needed both to be comfortable.
