Default Severe amount of oil leaking from air filter

I rode my bike to work this morning and when I got there the right side of the bike was covered with oil. I know of its over filled some oil will spray but this is crazy. I noticed one of my breather hoses is collapsed, could it cause the oil to leak? The air filter is also saturated with oil. I've changed the oil lately but rode the bike before this morning without problems. Only thing I did was to pull the air filter off and noticed one of the hoses was pinched and collapsed. Also the rubber is almost like gum.

When was the last time you checked your air cleaner?
Sounds like it was plugged up to start with.

I checked the other day, it probably needed replacing then but not severely, now it's dripping with oil. Would a kinked breather hose going to the front head cause the rear one to spew crap out?

Yeah I had read a few threads but most talk about mist of oil or some oil dripping. Mine was posing everywhere it seems. Anyway bought a new filter & hoses, installed or on the dealer parking and everything seemed fine for the ride home. Now I have quite the mess to clean up! Thanks.

Do you have a stock air cleaner or aftermarket?

When I put my aftermarket AC on last year I started having the same problem.... my breather hoses became kinked. The trim caps that came with the new AC were pinching the hoses shut.

I took the trim caps off, pinched the hoses back into shape, and the problem went away.
