Default Gaterman/SS/Fueling lifters which one's?

I'm going to swap out my lifters and need advice from the pro's on which lifters and where to get a decent price. I hear Gaterman's a lot but no one ever mentions from where. The Fueling are $130. The SS are $170. I cant even find a price on the Gater's WTH are these things **** out of a golden goose or something? Help me out somebody......Thanks

I don't know if it matters more on a high powered/built motor, but when I put my cams in my Indy recommended the Comp Cams(V-Thunder) lifters. He told me they would be more than adequate for my needs. I took his advice and bought four for $14 each. They have worked just fine, just like he said they would. I don't have any basis for comparison aside from stock, but I don't see anything wrong with them.

Do you have a part# that you went with by chance?

They are at $17 right now but if they are doing what their supposed to I may just go with those, it's not like I'm putting em on a 150hp monster. Which pushrod did you use?

Hot Shot Motorworks sells the Gaterman lifters. These lifters are made specifically for HD motors. I think a set sells for 160 ish. Check them out.

I went in through the top, and reused my stock pushrods.

Thank you for that......I don't see em on the website, only engines come up on the Twin cam link (feeling a little stupid right now).

Tucci,
I've been doing some research on the Gatermans. Just spoke with Bill Gaterman the part # GP 1023 (performance) is what you want, not to be confused with the GP 1021 old Style OEM).
The Gaterman website show the GP 1023 as a twin cam 88 part, but they are the same part for the twin cam 96, and twin cam 103 he says. The GP 1023 has added oil passages and dimensional modifications for improved performance.

St Paul Harley is a dealer for them, phone 657-738-2168, their price is $150.
