Default Tried new gloves...

Just got back from my pre-Sturgis trip to SD. Went from the TX Panhandle to SD over the last five days and wore a pair of Mechanix Original Vent gloves. Probably not the best protection in a crash but the best full glove I have ever worn as far as venting and fit. 1900 miles and they were great.

I would imagine the mechanix gloves are better than you think in regards to protection. It's good to know they vent well. They are a whole lot cheaper than some you could have bought.

I`ve been wearing the same pair of this model glove for about 20 years so far, they look kind of grungy now, but I think they have another 20 in them yet.

I hit the pavement hands first about 40 years ago, I was wearing good leather gloves and the gloves were not damaged.

However... the hide (my hide) on one of my palms split wide open from the impact, and I still have a big scar at the base of my thumb. I have never considered wearing mechanix gloves on the bike, even though I get them free at work....

A little pricey, but the best gloves I've ever used for riding!

Glad they work for you but I have different pairs of gloves for all riding conditions. From fingerless to Gerbings heated.
