Is that kit like only 40 bucks? Am I reading that right? For HID? Wow.

What socket do we use on our bikes, I forget?

I installed a DDM 55w 6k kit on my daily driver (95 BMW 318is) 5 years ago (iirc) and they are very very bright. Lifetime warranty to boot. Seriously considering this for my 07 RK.

I have been running 35W HID's (single beam) in two of my bikes. So far no problems and over a year on my Dyna. I just put them on the glide about a month ago. They are bright enough that I see no need for brights. I take off the metal heat shield on the bulb. They help greatly in daylight with visibility as well.

well finally did a early morning ride with my new lights , I have a 55 watt dual beam hid in my headlight and put 35 watt hids in my spots , lights are AWSOME , on the spots I destroyed one kit playing [learning ] with it but the way I put them in is to use the existing wire , I removed my outter faring just cut the wire going to the spots and used the power side to run to the ballast and the side going to the light I just ran back to the light bulb , the ground wire from the bulb and from the ballast to the bulb I just grounded to the bike like a normal bulb and worked fine , the big thing I found out is to solder any joints , did not do that on the first set I bought and that is how I blew them , had to cut off some of the plugs as I did not have enough from the old kit to put plugs on all the wires but I cut the wires on them long enough so if they need to be replaced I can add plugs at that time and make changing them a lot eaiser. first test drive around the block at night I was lighting up the tops of trees ,looking at them they looked fine but were not , had to adjust them, never had a car flash me so must be good . sorry no pics , really not that much to take pics of

Where did you get the kit for the spots? Did you have to cut a hole in the back of the lamp assembly for the wires to come out?

got the kit from e bay and no I did not cut any holes , that is why I did the wiring the way I did it , really not bad now that I got it figured out , you just have to solder any joints you make , here is the kit I bought
