Default Help removing baffles

Has anyone removed the baffles from V&H Rounds?
Do you like the sound better?
How do I remove them?

Have an Ultra Limited and want more sound without spending another $500. Thought losing the baffles might work.

Usually you have to turn em upside down and gently tap em on a 2x4 or bigger which will allow gravity to eject them. Do it slowly and carefully or you'll dent the end and they really wont come outta there...if you decide to put em back in coat everything with copper or zinc no seize, just in case you decide to pull them out for some reason.

Just wondering, do the baffles create any back pressure? If so, do you need to re-tune after removing them?

Yes they do create back pressure and will probably sound like crap without them.

As for removing them, they have a hole to hook a slide hammer in and pull the baffle out that way. One popped right out and the other took me 2 hours to get out...... Welded wrong at the factory...... Did the copper anti seize and the bike cooked it out.

Good luck!
