Was the dealership you left it at the same one that said the noise was "normal"?

Yeah. And I know what your getting at. The tech admited he did not hear the knock. I should have pushed a little harder And I know he didn't run it hard enough to hear the noise...at the time of the first visit it would only get rattleing after a hard long pull or hot in traffic. Yes I was a little pissed knowing there was an issue and they blew me off. I was with the tech through the whole tare down and inspection...I trust him and that shop to work on my bike rather than bring it home.

I can tell you one thing for sure,if I take my bike in to dealer and they tell me that's normal ,when it goes bake the 2nd time it will not be hard to find out what is wrong.

That's exactly right. Under warranty, I would have tried my best to grenade it in the shortest amount of miles as possible.

Maybe now is the time for a cam upgrade since he is gonna be in there tinkering? Gotta love the warranty, ride it like you stole it while its covered. Glad you didnt get stranded and hope you get back in the wind soon.

really don't have much of a choice , dealers have told me the they can't fix a noise , HD policy or something , unless it is very obvious , just ride on and bring it back in a basket . I guess it makes diagnosing easy , LOL

I think the same way you do. The next time they say "its normal" the rod will be hanging out the side of the block.
I will then ask does this look normal?
