Juststay away from bumper to bumper traffic on Main Street and you won't have any problems with overheating. Hit US 1 in Ormond Beach ( Iron Horse, Boot Hill, Broken Spoke, Smiley's). Stay away from the intersection of US 1 and I-95. Traffic for Destination Daytona is a bitch. Make sure you hit Main Street but just park and walk. Sit outside at the Full moon saloon, drink a cold beer and watch the crowds go by.

Theirare so many attractions, festivities all over town you probably have 15 or so areas to ride to park, eat and drink and each one has vendors. It is truly a blast.

The so called 1% clubs are a different breed these days. They no longer want attention drawn to themselves so they usually avoid any trouble if possible.

My business partner was a Hells Angel, & we had patch holders hanging around the place on a fairly regular basis.
Believe me, there where a LOT LESS problems occuring when that crew was around than when there where just a bunch of wanna be tough guys hanging around. Since it was a regular hangout for them, they made sure that they helped to keep the place trouble free.
We had a couple young good looking barmaids & I never worried about letting them close up late at night when a few of the crew would hang around & make sure they had no problems closing up.

RE: bike week advice?????????
lots of good advice above.
I presume you're going as you want to go to experience the event good and bad.
Yes a lot of slow stop and go riding will cause heat build up.
So best to pick a spot to work out from (walking distance). park and explore on foot.
next day, pic another and do same. Lot's easier on the bike.
Sturgis is the same way.
You got your cool people and then there are the crazies.
But is normally so hot and so crowded takes as long as half an hour to travel up the three main blocks of main street (yes I know the street is longer, but mostly the three center ones) and a lot of oil lights have come on and stayed on until shut down and cool down.
But do go have fun, enjoy the events the vendors and the sights and the babes.
