I've been to many bike weeks and never worried about overheating. Had EGC since 94 and no problems with the heat. Don't go to Daytona myself now unless I'm looking for parts. Too crowded.

I would not worry about the bike running hot as long as you can stand it. They do run hot especially in stop and go traffic.

Spend one day in Daytona looking at the bikes and attractions. Then go south to Key West. Great ride and magnificent scenery. Just too crowded in Daytona to have fun. I like to ride and only bumper to bumper traffic there next week.

Ride safe and have fun!

Tips? Don't look 1%ers, mostly outlaws and hells angels in the eye, unless you have a gun. Don't let your wife or girlfriend show her ****, unless you have extra money for her bail. Dont do burnouts. And Lock your bike every time you get off it.

Many of the roads tend to get a lot of sand blown over/on them. Be aware of that, makes for a slippery surface if you have to make any quick manuvers. Be safe and enjoy.

Jesus Christ!! What a bunch of old woman! Go and have a great time. Main St. (Boothill saloon) is not my personal favorite destination, but go ahead and you can at least say you saw it. However, the Iron Horse in Ormand is a great place, but also very crowded. Everyplace will be crowded, but that's half the fun. There are plenty of stops all along US1. Watch out for stupid caggers and other stupid people. Its a great event. Have fun.
