Default Tired of high priced tires...

...just my little being a ***** rant for the day...

2 back tires and 1 front tire in a year equals about $1200...

Yeah...I made the decision to buy a '12 RKC and yep I like the look of the WWW, don't really want to go to blackwalls or the thin WW..but geez...that is a lot of damn money to spend on tires each year...

Wondering when a WWW will be available anyplace other the HD!

OK..back to work..

At a average of $400/tire change you may want to learn how to DIY or find a non HD shop to do your changes and buy the tires on-line. Also it is likely the RKC tires can be changed on many automobile tire changing machine if you remove the rotors. Check around .... Cheers

I got tired of the price of them too.. is harder yet to find one for the smaller ones.. the MT90B-16..
I went with a Shinko WWW.. $85 shipped and I changed it myself.. I can handle doing one a yr at that price..

Just bought a front for the wife's trike, and a back and a front for my Limited from Tire Express for 419.00 with free shipping. Took less than a week to get them. Michelin Commander II's.

American Motorcycle Tire in Az. has the same kind of deals.

The problem is the Wide White Wall for the Road King Classic. I checked with a couple Indy shops the last time I had a rear replaced and Dunlop (or anyone else) didn't make a Wide White Wall that they could get, only one was made for HD.

I did 17,000 miles last year.

Tire ran about $250 - $275 then 1.0 or 1.25 hours labor to install. Labor rate in Dallas varies from $90-$125. Add tax and such and you are right at $400 or more.
