Default Rain X ?

Does anyone use Rain X on their windshield? Rode in the rain last night, couldn't see a thing. Can you use Rain X on a plastic shield? Does it work well enough?

I clean my windshield with a damp microfiber towel.
When nice and clean, I use a spray detail wax inside and out.
Water beads up and runs off and the shield doesn't fog up.

Don't use "Rain-X" on your HD shield, it eats away at the hard coating and will ruin it. Please do not ask how I know.

Same here! A light,light coat of wax and a good buff and water rolls off!!!

I use lemon pledge. Water rolls off, bugs come off easily.

There is product called Raincoat that is suppose be safe all plastics. Been meaning try it. I've seen it in spray bottle or small packets.

If you read the directions on the Rain X bottle it states, Do Not Use On Plastic.....

Rain-X and plastic's dont get along. It has solvents in it and is for glass only.
I picked up a bottle of Raincoat and it works good. Put it on my shield and the FF visor.
