Default Rear shocks On a 07 street glide

Hello, I was thinking about replacing my rear shocks on my bike and Ive been Reading Searching and everything.. Im 200lbs and ride aggressively usually ride solo.. theres alot of choices out there and there pretty pricey, so I dont want to waste money on the wrong thing.. I want something I didnt really have to mess with just put on enjoy a better ride.. any suggestion? thanks!

I'm running Progressive 944's on my 08 SG, I love them. I'm 275 and ride solo 70% of the time. I have the preload set at 3 turns and don't have to change it when my wife is on the back. I used to keep my stock shocks at 25psi and would still bottom out on sharp bumps. I ran Progressive 940s, Monotube front cartridges and the Touring Link on my 01 FLHT, really tightened that bike up .

Very wise. Save yourself a lot of time by calling HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal, who will custom-build you a set of shocks. Buy once! It's the only way to travel.....

Default progressive 944

Hey Solancodad, are your 944s standard or heavy duty?. I have an 08 SG and am looking at the 944.

I'm 280 and in my opinion the heavy duty progressive shocks I have are too hard. If I were to do it again I'd have gotten the standard shocks..
I never bottom out.. ever and have no p[reload and can't bottom out loaded either..

944's are on it sits a little higher but I did take my lowering kit out as instructed from progressive it dies ride stiffer but it does not bottom out anymore and it is a lot smother over the bumps but I only went about 30 miles
