I like the NGK DCPR6E, those familiar will note it is one heat range warmer than the equivalent factory plug. The are also $1.99 at Oreilly's. My experience was that I must not ride hard enough to keep the factory plugs clean and would notice some miss fire and loss of fuel mileage by 10,000 miles. The higher heat range seems to keep them clean, they are almost a "lifetime" plug as there has been no loss of performance in 20,000+ running. I check them at each 5000 mile service. There is no ping, I get easy, dependable starts and fuel economy a little better than many here report. This is in a stock 08 96 ci engine. Just as everyone else, I'll stick with my choice as long as they perform well.

Ive run multiple brands in different heat ranges, never had a issue with any.

Current plugs are HD Plat 10R12 (?) its the VRod Plat plugs... they work fine. I was given a set so thats the only reason. Otherwise I wouldnt pay HD prices for plugs.

NGK DCPR8EIX (Iridium) These fine wire plugs are impossible to foul. Have had a set in for 20k miles now. Bike runs great.

Very interesting. Most seem to go one step colder, 8E, as they supposedly dissipate more heat.
I've tried most NGK, Autolite, Champion, in stock and one step colder. No noticeable difference in performance. The iridium NGKs do seem to last longer but probably not worth the extra cost.

Hey guys, this reminds me of an oil thread.
Always a clear consensus. Right?
