Default Risers on an Ultra Classic.

I find when riding I am leaning ahead and my shoulders & back tend to get sore. Is it possible to install risers on an Ultra Classic, or will I have to have new bars installed. I have a set of 4" pullbacks on my Heritage I could swap if they would work.

I tell ya what, go out and look at your bars. Look at where they come out of the fairing.
Now ask your self the same question you asked us. Can I raise these bars?

Ummmmm..........unless you want to relocate the fairing along with the bars, NO you can not have risers on a batwing bike.

Do you have a backrest? I would suggest trying that first, who knows, it may solve your problem. Its alot easier than redoing the bars. I dont know about the risers but my non educated guess is no. If I am wrong someone will chunk a wrench and correct me. Wish you luck, stay safe Bullitt.

OK. Here's your third opinion. No, you can't put on risers, but you can add a backrest, wich helps a lot. I used to get the same pain, but since I now have the backrest, it is much less. Took some experimenting to get the backrest in just the right position, but much more comfortable now.

X2. I also had the problem with leaning forward. Back rest was the BEST money in terms of comfort that I have spent. I also experimented with adjusting the bars back towards me. You'd be surprised how much even the slightest adjustment will make.
