I rode my bike 5 days out the week for the last 9 months . And I stop riding for one week (Due to rain) and now it won't start![:@] I bought a battery tender and put it on and when the light turn green. I tried to start it. And all I hear is the starter relay clicking everytime I hit the start button.[:@]I gotta take it in!!![:@]

Is it possibly an alarm issue? Maybe the battery on the key fob is dead.

 

Maybe check to make sure battery connections all tight?

 

Clean and tighten the battery cable connections. Use a volt meter and see what the battery voltage is - could be the battery itself is defective.

 

seriously tho...could be the tilt sensor or a ground...or maybe a defective batt like Grover says...could even be the alarm...i hate electric stuff

 

How about the obvious...is the emergency kill switch on? This happened to me once, boy was I red faced...[:@]

 

all the above. plus:
Is it the relay you're hearing or the start solenoid on the starter.
Pull the small wire on the starter, put a test light on it and hit starter button
does it light?
If so then its weak battery, bad connections (check frame ground) or defective starter.
put bike in gear (1st) roll it a little then try a normal start.

 

First let me intoduce myself (forum newbie), names Michael, from San Diego. I have an 07 Street Glide that had a similar problem, click but no starter. The first time it wouldn't start I was a long way from home and managed to get it bump started, started fine for awhile... After three trips to the dealer on their trailer, they finally managed to get it to not start for them, it was a bad ground wire.

The dealer is going to pick up my bike saturdayvia FREE TOWING . and Check the problem. But tonight I will give a visual inspection to what you all have said ABOVE. If that don't work then I'll have to try the "BRA" .
