What I meant is when a member of this forum posts a mechanical question, it's up to that person to use which information seems more appropriate.

Sometimes even personal experience has to be taken with a grain of salt, everything is relative.

Just look at the tire threads. Someone says Brand X sucks and follows every groove in the road, doesn't last and the sidewall cracks. Someone else says Brand X is the best tire they've ever had, doesn't follow grooves in the road and has lasted for 25,000 miles.

Why do you need first hand experience on everything you advise on? I've never done heroin, but I'm pretty sure it's bad for you.

Besides, they wouldn't put it on the internet if it wasn't true.

But, if 20 riders say they have had good experiences with Brand X and 3 riders said they didn't, that would weight heavily on your decision, right?

Where are you guys getting these Brand X tires, all I can find is Dunlop, Avon, Metzler, Bridegestone, etc., no Brand X. I'm very interested in these as I have heard from a very reliable source that they don't crack, don't follow grooves in the road and last 25,000 miles or more. I couldn't find where to buy them on the internet, but I did find from another reliable source that says they come with a self-inflating option, also. Now if someone could just post a link ..............

Speaking of that but not speaking about you, I do believe some people post things that have nothing to do with the question(s) being asked just to boost their post count.....hopefully the TS coming tomorrow will kill this heat wave so I can get out and clear my head.....see, another meaningless post that added a number to my post count....guilty as charged....L O L.

I would weigh in on this matter, but I don't have firsthand knowledge of the situation.
