I had an 07. IT was far less expensive to trade up than to make the upgrades to the 12. I got a bigger engine, better handling, better gear ratios, 2 year warranty, automatic compression release, cleaner rear fender, cruise control, ABS, oil cooler etc.

Was able to swap a bunch of my aftermarket goodies over to the new bike, so did not have to start completely over. Seat would not transfer nor passenger backrest.

Have a 5,500 trip planned in Sept, and will enjoy the heck out of all the new features.

Riding double is so much better with the new engine, gears, and frame

There will always be changes, if you own a scooter and its not wrecked, ride it, IMHO. But maybe you have other ideas...enjoy your choice.

LOL. If you go ride it, well, lemme just give you an early congrats now. You only live once, go scratch your itch for a new bike. Post some pics after you bring her home.

jump on that road glide. they are great bikes...not going to be available in '14. if they do come back as a water-cooled model, that last year air-cooled will really hold it's value. and you are going to love all the changes on the new model.

Take the new RGU out for a spin & compare to your 06...you'll catch the bug!

Good for you!!
Check em' out and get back to us.

I would wait until the 14's come out though, which should be in a week or 2, around Sturgis time.

Dealer might be a little more apt to give you a discount on the 13's.

I think you'll like the ride though.

I would love to have the new frame. But I have so much $$ tied up in my bike, it makes no sense to trade. I have spent a lot to make it the fun bike it is now. And with the recent motor build, I see no need to "upgrade" to a slower bike.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
Shakey
