I did not have to extend anything, just had to rout the wires a little different under the fairing and zip tie the clutch cable on the left side instead the right. Watch la choppers bar install video to see how they get the wires through the bars, its very helpful.

 

Aftermarket bars with TBW DO NOT WORK! period!
There is not room to the wiring to go in the handlebars.
