Tire wear
#4
Mine began to show slight cupping around the same mileage but I only maintained 41 lbs. I still got almost 20,000 miles out of the tire but switched to Michelin Commanders II.
On a previous bike the dealer replaced the front tire under warranty for the same issue, think the mileage was about the same.

be careful when choosing tires , everyone will tell you this tire or that tire. i switched to michelins 2's and i dont like them at all. the video said they dont get caught in tar snakes or ruts . well these tires seem to seek the ruts and get caught in them and they seem to be a really hard tire. i too had cupping on the dunlop rear at around 11k and still rode them 3k more and i still felt confident with them. i have 75k HD riding experience and in my opinion the stock D407 & D408 dunlops are the way to go. aside from seeing the cupping can you feel anything different when banking into a turn with the cupped tires ? if not, stick with the devil you know instead of spending money on snake oil cure tires. i ride a 8k trip in may and a 3k trip after labor day and will finish the season with the commander 2's but next season they are coming off. good luck with your decision.

Tyre pressures are personal IMHO! You may be a little heavier than the rider weight Harley sets the pressures for, or ride in a way that transfers extra load to the rear briefly. It may be too late for this tyre, but add a couple of pounds. Most particularly if you ride 2-up quite often, the tyre pressures Harley recommend are too low, again IMHO.

the rear dunlop just does that, my dealer actually covered the cupping under warrenty for about a year till corperate made them quit. my first on started at 3500 2nd started about 4500, still got over 10k out of each of the tires. i never had problem with the handling from it, got a tail whipping effect feeling in high speed curves but never seemed to let up traction. switched to the mich commandor 2 and have just over 3000 on it and no signs of cupping at all aand handles muh better overall. my 09 fatboy rear did it too but after only 1500 miles. id reccomend running it till it needs replaced and find a diff tire.
