Default HELP - Red LED turn signals

I got the HD red LED turn signal kit yesterday and installed it this morning.
They work as running light, brake lights and turn signals. Nice and bright!

I only screwed up one wire on install which prevented the right turn signal from blinking properly. I couldn't get the wires out of the terminals to reverse them so had to cut them and solder them correctly. That's fixed and working fine.

Everything is working fine EXCEPT what's confusing me is that when the bike is flipped to accessories the running lights for these new signals are on. Is this expected? I can't find any steps in the wiring directions that I've screwed up. I really don't want these to be on with accessory. If anyone else has these installed can you confirm?

Thanks in advance.

I just checked mine and same thing: On in accessory position. However I can't recall ever using the accessory position for anything, so not worried about it.

Ok thanks! Appreciate you looking. I went back through the wiring diagram and nothing is wrong so it must be by design.

It's normal after the upgrade & think it's due to the load equalizer. Something about the way it wires in.
