Default Riding to Calgary

I'm headed up to Calgary next week, and I know that they had some flooding awhile back. I'm wondering if any of the Canadian guys here can tell me if everything is back to normal up around that area? I would think they have had enough time to put it back together, but you never know.

My kid and I are riding up doing a 5 day loop from Boise to Calgary and back through Montana. Haven't been to Calgary in years, any good spots we should check out?

Thanks,

Just wen through there last week on the reverse trip-through Calgary, down through Montana, all the flooding mess is pretty much handled except for the High River area. If youre a geek (like me), take a side trip to Vulcan Alberta and amuse yourself at the Vulcan Star Trek display (honest). I stayed as much as possible in western Montana, the rest is pretty desolate and boring-Great Falls to Billings was a snoozer.

I would recommend heading west from Calgary to Banf and lake Louis, then go South to Montana and go through Glacier National Park. Also there is a small town south of Calgary called Longview, stop at the little cafe on the West side of the road next to the motel and have the trout there...it's unbelievable.

I was in downtown Calgary the day of the flood. Highway 1 between Calgary and Banff was washed out completely in Canmore. Probably some sort of repair by now.

Yeah, it's all fixed up now. Even High River is pretty much mopped up. All Highways are open. You are cleared for takeoff!
