Default I Waited Too Long

We all heard for the first time a few months ago that the Electra Glide Classic was being deleted for the 2014 year. This is the only HD Touring bike I ever considered buying other than my Road King.

I was riding by a nearby dealer today and stopped in to see if they had any Classics on the floor. They did, and in my favorite color, big blue pearl. I approached the bike thinking to myself that this could be trouble if it had cruise and ABS!! Well, it had cruise but no ABS.

When I bought my Road King (my first bike with ABS) I could have cared less about ABS. Shortly after buying the RK the ABS saved my life, so I wont buy a new bike without it.

The salesman checked inventories in the Midwest but came up empty. There just isn't any ABS Classics out there, and it is now too late to order a 2013.

I went away sad but riding my Road King home was a nice consolation prize.

So, get a street glide and put a tour pack and seat on it.

Never mind, enjoy your king. Some things are not to be for a reason. It all comes back round with Harley and they will make an even better bike in years to come with your name on it.
