Biased FLHTC owner here

The FLHTC has been a bargain compared to some of the other models- if the added extras have little value to the buyer.

OP, you can always look for a used one if that is what you have to have.

I have wondered for a long time now why they had so many different models period. And then they come along and discontinue one of their top sellers for a year (Road Glide). Either me or the MOCO is out of touch.

It seems like every time some one figures out "hey that's the best deal in the line up" it's about time they discontinue it.Remember the Electraglide standard? more standard features and cheaper than the Streetglide and the Road King.Did they just cancel the Superglide Custom? that was the best deal in the Dyna line up for awhile.

Yeah, I'm picking up a new classic, even though my current one only has 119K on it. I have found my level! Ultras have too much stuff I would just take off, and it is way too expensive to buy a Street Glide and build it up.

What I really don't like is that a simple luggage rack is not available for the new bike. It's costing hundreds just to remove the tourpak and add a sissy bar and luggage rack. I'll never take that stuff off, but I'll have those ugly mounting posts back there...and the throttle by wire is a solution to a problem I've never had in over thirty years of riding harleys. Sure hope that new frame is worth it!
