Yeah what he said!
I know for myself it took for ever to get into a position to aford an HD.
But have rode various other brands. For the love of two wheels! Alot of dirt rideing to boot.
I just in the last year broke down and signed my life away on an HD
That cost twice as much as my off name big twin.
I could not believe the diferance in acceptance at the dealers!!!
My titan is ALL about big twin performance S&S, jims, thunderheader, cereni, works, comp cams..... the list goes on. It is everything that most harley guys would love to have on thier bikes...... The bike gets looks and awwww everywhere i ride it. But don't take it to an HD store and try to look for parts! They all look at me funny! ( shop ebay for everything for it now!)
Got the 08 Road Glide: WOW What a diferance in how i am treated at any of the HD dealerships!

I think he was trying to say that his wife knows more about motorcycles than he does.

This is my first Harley but not my last, I love this bike and never plan on selling it, I have also owned several Jap bikes, race tuned CBX Super Sport and 750 Ninja. I think every motorcycle rider out there rides for the same basic reasons and what they choose to ride is either what they like or what they can afford. My Harley is not the best motorcycle ever made or the best handling but it is what I like!

The OP needs to take some Thorazine and relax. Used to ride metrics long ago but not for a long time. As someone else said...as long as someone is out there on 2 wheels it's all good. Well okay I don't count those %#&$$%$ scooters.

I love my SG but the Stratoliner that I owned before and its 2 "little cylinders" ( at 935cc each) sounded pretty healthy. So going to a smaller bike had me a little worried but I have to admit it s a better riding bike and it only took Harley 110yrs. to get it right!

I had a Kawasaki 30 yrs ago, this is my first Harley (just bought last fall). Gotta say there is nothing like it. Love the sound, handling etc....that being said, I also like the handling I get from my 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe....

I was on my 1st Harley up until 2wks ago. Traded an 08 UC for a 10 UL. It had been 20+ yrs since I owned a bike. Sold the last one(25 yrs ago) because I didn't respect it's power any more and new it was time for it to go.
After getting the boys grown (almost), the wife and I decided it was time to give it another go and boy are we ever glad we did. Put over 15,000 miles on our bike last year and well on our way to logging that many or more this year.

My "Pop" always told me if he knew how to ride one that he'd own a Harley. Well Pop, this ones for you. Happy trails!!!

Look at all the "fun" responses one gets, and it's pretty easy to tell from the nerves that are struck who is taking it personally, and I don't know, possibly should.
Thanks for the entertainment gents.
