A friend of mine is looking at installing a Mikuni HSR42 on a '06 RK FLHRS and asked me to ask a few questions for him:

1.) Will stock throttle & choke cables work with this carb?
2.) Do the kits come with everything needed to install?
3.) Best place to purchase?

Any input on the installation and use of this carb would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

This will be the easiest job you have ever done. Stock cables, intake, air cleaner. The only thing that changes is the carb. Everything else goes back on just like it came off.Go up one size on the intermediate and you will be good. Get a big sucker air cleaner to complete the job.
