If my plan was to ride freeways in excess of 80mph all day or 90% of the time. I would take a serious look at a Goldwing. They handle much better than HD at high speeds.
My neighbor has a new GW and trade rides sometimes on our trips. We both agree that my EG has way more character. The GW does handle better and it likes to go fast. It really does smooth-out at 90+.
He calls my bike - the tractor. I tell him that his bike is like riding a big girl. Even though she can rock your socks off. You're still embarrassed to show her off to your friends.

How weird, most of these posts are just off! I ride 90+ and can do so for many hours. My bike becomes smooth as glass at 85+ and just awesome at 90+.
Gold wings suck wind really bad at 90+ miles per hour. Been there, done that!!!
Road kings windshield is more like a battle shield trying to push it against the wind.
Have no experience with Road Glide, a lot of people swear by them, but I love my Electra Glide thank you very much.
