HQ-0039G's are in
Gone with the S&S 510G's andin with the HQ-0039G's.The only thing left is the seat of the pants Dyno run. Then of course the real dyno tune. But for now I sit and wait until all this Ice & Snow melts, at least the ice anyway. ThenI will get the first test ride done. For now all I can do is listen to it run, and oh buddy does it sound good. The gear drive is alot quieter then it was with the 510's. But the sound coming from my 2-1 is a different story.Ialways thought my Thunderheader sounded good with the 510's, Holy ballsit's so much more throatier with the 39's. My neighbors are going to love it
I will post some pics of the swapwhen I get hometo show some of the things I had to do to make the swaphappen.

RE: HQ-0039G's are in
Here are the details of my build. Stock cylinders bored to 95" +.010 Wiseco 10.5:1 compression, Stock heads sent to Basiley for a Super Stock Job, S&S Super E carb with Doherty powerPacc Air kit, HQ-0039G Cams, Daytona twintec ignition with Head Quaters down load for my set up, 2-1 Thunderheader. I was at 98HP & 104TQ and all kinds of pinging issues. I'm hoping to be around the 105/105 or maybeeven 110/110 with NO detonation / pinging problems. Doug says with the right tune it should be up around 113/117.
Here are a few pics of the cams resting on the bearing boss before and after it was shaved down.
