140/90 or 150/80 Rear Tire?
My '06 uses a MU85B16. Last year I tried a 150/80 instead of the 140/90 the tire companies recommend. As a bonus, the Michelin Commander II is cheaper in the 150/80 size. I've got 13K on it, mostly 2 up, and figure I can get another 4K. Does a slightly wider tire wear better or is the Commander II better? Does anyone else substitute the 150/80 for the MU85?

I would run the MU85 for no better reason then it is what the mfg prefers and the tire looks better. Metzeler's new ME 888 in the 150/16 comes with a reinforced sidewall and a big improvement in capacity, which may convert to improved safety and tread life. I went with the Metz 888 150/16 on my Heritage just for these reasons

I assume you have 16" wheels on front and back currently. The SG has the shorter rear shocks from the factory already. Several companies supply aftermarket lowering kits on Ebay etc. They run about $20-$30 and easy to install on the FL's. I don't know what kind of quality kits they are, but they have been around for years. Many times you can find or post a request to swap your stock seat for a reach seat on the forum, some riders want off the reach seat.
