Talking Pulled trigger on MGS TD

Well, after oh, say a few months of checking out the forum and MGS site and Youtube, I decided to go ahead with a MGS True dual exhaust for my 2011 Roadking.

I got the loud baffle mufflers with the slash \ end caps so they flow the the end of the bag angle.

Looks like they ought to be shipped out first of next week. No rush to get them as I have sat on the fence a while about this, so I figure whats a few more days. Chris at MGS said I was the second person he had an order from today that was from my neck of the woods, I guess the MGS word is getting out there.

The reality that I have yet again [spent $] on my HD will hit me when I get the shipment at my door, and the credit card bill...

I will have my Vance and Hines Power Duals with Monster Rounds in the parts section for sale when install of MGS is done in the week ahead. Will be asking $650.00, plus what it takes to ship it; the V&H set up I have now is in good shape and the mufflers have the fiberglass removed.

I will post pics of the MGS system after install, maybe some install pics as well. Might try and do a video of the bike in ride mode with the new MGS.

The video below here was pretty interesting, as the before system is similar to what I have ( mufflers probably close in performance as my V&H ) I think the TW222 cams I have, will bump the torque / Hp a little.

MGS is sending a map for my PV and Dynojet sent me a PV map as well, so I think I should be good to go there, run an auto tune or two and see how it checks out. MGS rents the PV Wide band kit, so I could opt to fine tune with that for final.

Have a Safe and Sane 4th of July.

Your going to love them! True duals sound great and these give ya some performance gains at same time. I love my MGS True Duals and look forward to hearing your review after install.

Of all the things I've done to mine, the MGS pipes are the best. Everything else may come and go, but those will stay.

And I like the fact that they're kinda rare, around here anyway.

I did not get an opportunity to hear the pipes live / standing near in person, crossing fingers that they are what I was after.
Maybe I should have started the thread as: How many exhaust systems have you tried on your bagger?

I just got my MGS slipon's on my bike yesterday. I have a 2013 Street glide and was running stock pipes. I also ordered a set of V&H power duals and they will be in Friday. I did not go with the true duals as I thought it would generate heat around my wife's leg so I went with the V&H. Now I currently have a de-cated stock header and just adding the MGS slipon's was a drastic improvement... Lots more torque and I have never had a bike with this nice low toned rumble... It almost reverberate your eardrums it is such a deep low bass sound... I am super excited to get this setup... I would like to get your input of the performance of the MGS pipes once installed... As I may decide to go that route in a few months...

If your bike is tuned properly, there would be no significant heat on your wife's left leg, and you would have great sound & performance. You should have read more posts and asked questions about the MGS Duals before ordering just the slips-ons. Good luck with your set-up though.....

Yes, you can purchase the MGS headers by themself. Give me a call at the shop, I will give you a great price on the MGS headers or V&H Power Duals. Guaranteed lowest price. My wife would kill me if she knew I said this, but feel free to call me on my cell if you like with questions 661-750-2424 I think I can find some time between flipping burgers today! Happy 4th!
