My bike is stock with slipons now, I ride the back roads under 65, I squeeze in as much as it will hold on fill ups, I get from 240-270 so that is 40-45 MPG, waiting to see how much that is going to change when I finish the stage 1 after I get back. I have a catless headpipe, big sucker and flxied waiting to put on.

There are so many variables that affect mileage. I'm currently in the midst of a summer trip from Los Angeles to Cleveland. My mileage during the trip to Ohio ranged from 27.53 to 43.20 with an overall average of 34.68. I tried my best to fill it the same each time (within reason). These figures are very consistent with the same trip in previous years.
Besides the normal variations of speed and conditions, I think fuel quality varies throughout the country. My worst mileage was two consecutive tanks of fuel in South Dakota (27+), and my best was in Wisconsin (43+). I attribute that discrepancy in mileage to fuel quality more than anything else, although I'm sure other factors did contribute.
My speed during this trip was for the most part 10mph over (75 to 90 mph) the posted limit and primarily Interstates.

My MPG low as been around 32mpg and my high around 45mpg and it's all based on speed. Less than 65mph I get good MPG, above that it starts to suck and at 80+mph I'm in the 30's. My average is 38mpg over 46 tanks of gas, it's not all the fillups but it's most of them. My 09 Road King easily averaged 44mpg making this bike a gas guzzler, Fuelmoto Stage One decreased my MPG on the RK a little but on the Limited it hasn't hurt and it maybe even when up slightly.

Just got back yesterday from a 3,000 mile, 10 day ride from East Texas to Colorado and back. Texas plains, foothills, and Rocky mountain riding. I was riding 2up with a ton of gear. Upped the tire pressure from my normal 40/37 to 42/39. Averaged 41.2mpg. Best was 53, worst was 34. The 53 was mountain riding above 8,000". I was really surprised at that, but I guess the altitude had a lot to do with it. (A friend with me on a VTX 1300 got 66mpg). The 34 was coming home in the Texas panhandle. Damn wind was really fierce. First long trip on my 2012 UC, and I'm very pleased with my mileage.
On another note, I found that premium gas octane decreased from the normal 93 to 91 (and even 90 at one point). My motor really didn't like the lower octane. I started to get some clatter. Got back to 93 and it went away. What do you guys do that live up there? Just clatter all the time, or do the dealers at higher elevations tune for it?
