OK I have two points:

1) at 6'4 250 I would think the Sundowner might crush your boys. I think you need more room.
I would slide forward on my Sundowner and crush my boys and I'm only 6' 225

2) The rear section is huge on the Sundowner (comfy for the passenger, but HUGE)
and looks like crap, unless you also have a sissy bar back there. (most people do, but your picture does not.

Sundowner on my 2008:

Default Hi

I have the sundowner on my 2013 deluxe and like it very much as does my fiance.

Here is a pic of the seat with my dragonfly attached.

Seat on our 2012 FLTRU is awesome, wife is happy, the boys are happy and I can go full tank loads on rides without discomfort. Had a Sundowner on our 2003 it sat the same for the wife but this one is wider for me.

Sundowner on my '10 SG; very comfy for my wife, but found it to be a little too wide in the nose. I had the nose trimmed and am now able to reach the ground without the pressure on my thighs.

'13 SG. Sundowner with standard height passenger backrest, large pad, riders adjustable backrest and streamliner passenger board kit. Really comfortable for both of us. My wife hated the stock SG rear seat and I find the Sundowner way more supportive. Dealer told me she would not be happy with the stock seat....he was right.
He also told me I would not be happy with the stock windscreen, head buffeting.....he was right. 10" Windsplitter fixed that.

Thanks SCJ and everyone else. True the sundowner has a big ugly rear section to it. My wifey won't ride with me much anyway she gets to scared. She works in a hospital and sees alot of crashes. I love the feel of the deep seat and some lower back support of the 2013 seat. Are there other seats out there I could get on my 06 to copy the same feel? Thanks guys for all the info. Might just have to take my title and bike back to the dealer today and ride home with a FLTRX!!
