I ordered the 2 little bottles of touch up for the Ember Red Sunglo about a month ago, and with discount it was about $24.
I figured it to be priceless. I also then ordered up the color matched tour pak rear spoiler with LED 3 way light, and that was $222 which I figured was a bargain as well. I see Dennis Kirk had a 3rd party made one on sale for $220, and then it would have had to been paint matched.
I know peeps get rattled about the MoCo's pricing, but I have yet to buy a part that didn't fit, and didn't look like it "belonged" on the bike, and thats after about 5K worth of candy on this one, so far.........
I won't let them put a wrench to my bike, but thats for another post.
I made my own floor board extensions, and other than that, it's nothin but MoCo parts here.

I hear ya!!!! This Tequila Sunrise is stupid expensive too!!!! And I've read too many horror stories of people trying to wing it and match it.... That's why I just ordered my chopped tour pak straight from Lake Shore HD.... I just wouldn't save a dime trying to piece one together on my own....

Harley doesn't make the paint, they just buy it from PPG then mark the price up.. go to a paint supply store and get it. even if they cant cross the numbers(some can) they can match it up perfectly.
when a car/bike gets crash repair, they don't buy factory colors, they get a new color made to match the faded paint. they can match up any color, so matching your color is no big deal.

Lake Shore usually offers discounts of 20% off HD retail and no sales tax for out of staters. I buy lots of stuff from them.

I just bought my daymaker headlight and aux lamps from them, saving over $200 when you figure tax.... And saved right at $200 on the tour pak. These are my only two purchases so far, I just found them :-)

$549 isn't bad compared to $1040 for a Road Glide inner fairing.
The Candy Orange uses Ember Red Sunglow as a base and can only be purchased through Harley or certain PPG paint suppliers. Cost for paint is close to $500 then labor, I bit it and ordered inner from HD.
It took 7 weeks to get it but what a difference a painted inner fairing makes on a Road Glide
