Nice RKC. I rented an 07 RKC that color. Black is my favorite, but I had a great day on that bike, and really started to appreciate that color. Your bike looks nice...
actually I did not - it's not necessary, but I would have if there was an easy kit - mine is a 1998 and they changed the forks in 2004 - 2008 and the moco sells a front fork lowering kit for them but I haven't found one for my old style forks
I like this thread. I look at all the different options and haven't seen one that I didn't like. Here's a couple of mine. By the way i posted a while ago on I needed a way to make my white walls more yellow. Someone posted to try coffee. I did and it seemed to work a little.

Good looking bike, Loondog...sorry to hear about your tires being 'too white'. ....most everyone else complains about them being the other way.

My compliments, it takes some vision - or vision problems - to see a "classic" in a police bike. What cop stuff comes off and what new parts go on doubles the choices for mods. You made a good decision in the spokes and whitewalls, since these really go a long way to changing the look of the bike.
The trouble with trying to match whitewalls to birch white is that the whitewalls are too white when new and too brown when they age. For myself, I try to stay with the too new look (scrub with magic eraser). In bright sunshine, I'm the only one who notices the whitewalls are too white.
