To your knowledge does the layback license plate from Customchrome matches the French plate size? (Or be kind to display the part number if you have it so that I can check)
Many thanks and a happy new year!
Thanks for the advice. One more thing markdouthwaite: what do you use to clean the white walls? How come your tires are so white? I guess we get the same kind of weather: you do not ride always during sunny periods...
All the best

I got my maroon 03 classic last fall but the cover on the right bag had no leather on it. So I had a leather cover made up with a tiki head carved on it but I don't know how to post. Pics.

Guys I havea RK Classic '13 and Im in love with halfmoon rider floorboards (officially for 86-up FL softail models). I have read a few posts that suggest you can make it work with the king..

Has anyone tried it yet? Is there alot of mods that have to be done to make it fit?

Thanks!!!

PS:

I'm sorry I didn't provide more info .... as far as I can see installation of these "old style rider floorboards" wouldn't be a problem - it says it fits for the FLHRC 2013

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...board-assembly

My question goes for this item: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-07-5140008--1

I don't see the logic that some floorboards work for both touring and softail and some just for softail?

Again thanks a milion

Default 2000 Road King

Loving this thread. Thanks everyone. Here is my 2000 Road King, switched back from Soft to Hard bags recently. Keep both sets so I can swap from time to time. I went with the two tone paint scheme and Badges from the old Shovel FLH to age the bike along with a simple 7 inch air cleaner cover.

Default Wow! I Just Found This Section..

Sooo many great ideas I'd like to try. Soo many beautiful bikes! I don't have time to "see" them all but I have a few ideas for my 1998 Black Road King.

Where can I get the chrome rear air ride shocks or covers?

How hard is it to change from the stock tank emblem (flatened "v" with "Harley Davidson" to a 1960's style?
The stock emblem appears to be held on with two screws. Can you get emblems to screw on in the same holes?
Or do you get the adhesive backed ones?
Any issures covering the original holes?

Normally the replica tank emblems come with an adhesive backing plate and you screw the emblem to that. So it comes in two parts. Easily done.
I fitted chrome Progresive shocks in place of my stock ones on my Road King above. Used 11.5 inch ones which dropped the rear 2 inches. Easy enough to do.

Do the stock emblems have the adhesive mounted backing plate?
