It would not work with the conventional Classic Solo. The 2 bolts in the fender are recessed under the seat and the mounting tabs wouldn't reach. It might fit on the new smaller solo seat that Corbin came out with for the 09-up bikes.

I'll have to email him again, he was supposed to let me know when he made his current batch of rails last fall.

I never heard from him.

Default New Parts. Harley Fat Handlebar question.

I recently came into a little cash and have decided to spend it on my ride, some for fit and some just for looks. New Handlebars, new seat,, highway pegs are first. Then Im going for hardbags, trim rails and horn/ cover, possibly windshield replacement. This thread is costing me a lot of money.

Right now I'm hunting handlebars. My Heritiage bars were a little better than stock, but there's still not enough pullback. I need handlebars that will place my hands almost in line with the ignition switch on the tank. Is anyone running HD p/n 56032-08 "Fat Handlebars for Road King?" I like the way they look, with gradual curves unlike some "fat" bars; looks more nostalgic to me. But more importantly they need to fit. They changed the demensions on these in 08 for some reason, with less pull back, according to HD's chart. Harley's charts are hard to understand, and I need an idea of how far these pullback in comparison to other popular bars like WO508's or 518's. Anyone have a good above angle pic of these?

Look in my album, I'm running the Fat Bars. Slightly different bend on the '08 and up models, mine is an '05.

I have a few pics in there, plus video links if you need them.

El Rey, thanks for the heads up. Now that I look at it from the side, it looks like they wouldn't come back far enough for me. They do look good, though. Yours is one of my favorites on this thread, I don't know, I think it maybe the cop blue paint. I'll probably need to go with a WO508 or 518. I'm only about 5'07 - 5'08. Finding a balance between a lower seat/ shock set up that lets me comfortably reach the ground and a comfortable handlebar has been a P I T A.

Thanks man! They do come back pretty far. I'm 6'2" however so I have a long reach. My Sundowner solo actually put me forward a bit.

The paint, I'm looking into changing. I get a lot of am I a cop questions. I loved the blue and wanted for awhile to do a '67 Hi Fi Blue and Birch White paint scheme, but may go with Hi Fi Red as theres not too many red bikes round here.

We'll see, just one more mod on my list.

Hey Fatmanny, can you tell me which mustang seat that is in your pics? Is it the 79600 " Vintage Wide Solo" or the 79446 "Vintage Supre Solo?"

3cycleman I like those leather bags. What are they?

3CycleMan, are those Motor City Cycle turn signal lens you have on your '03? I like the look.
